Happy Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2012, Filed under: Fun

Did you know that two commonly consumed items on Valentine’s Day – red wine and chocolate – are thought to be good for you in moderation?  Red wine is high in an antioxidant called resveratrol, which is thought to help prevent heart disease, and also has been shown to help lower bad cholesterol. Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, is also high in antioxidants.

Show yourself some love this Valentine’s Day!  Enjoy a little wine, some chocolate, and don’t forget to take Drinkin’ Mate to help boost your antioxidant levels.  Happy Valentine’s Day!

Fall Celebrations Continue…With Zombies

October 27, 2011, Filed under: Fun

Despite their constant moaning and crying for fresh brains, zombies have become very popular in recent years.  In cities such as New York, Philladelphia, Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, West Palm Beach, and many more, locales throughout the nation have given zombies their own special day to swarm bars and nightclubs in search of liquid nourishment.  The zombie craze has spread worldwide, with London hosting it’s own annual zombie pub crawl Halloween weekend.

We at Drinkin’ Mate would like to remind all you zombies out there to take your Drinkin’ Mate to Feel Better the Next Day!!  We hate to see zombies feeling crappy the morning after a city-wide celebration.  For a list of upcoming zombie events nationwide, click here.

Perhaps the most famous zombies are those that performed in Michael Jackson’s music video, Thriller.  Four years ago, a woman in Canada decided to start a worldwide movement to raise money for charity, called Thrill the World.  Zombies from all over the world are invited to learn the “Thriller” zombie dance and perform it simultaneously.  In 2009, Thrill the World raised over $100,000 for charity and had nearly 23,000 participants from 32 countries around the world.

Have a Happy Halloween everyone, and while you are out celebrating this ghoul-filled weekend, don’t forget to take your Drinkin’ Mate!

Celebrate Fall!

September 22, 2011, Filed under: Uncategorized

Fall, which officially begins on September 23rd, is full of celebrations.  The first celebration of the season is the German celebration Oktoberfest, which began this year on September 17th, and runs through October 3rd.  Oktoberfest originated in 1810 as a celebration of the marriage of Bavarian Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildbrughausen.  With only a few exceptions due to war and famine, Oktoberfest has taken place every year since.  This year’s celebration opened with the official tapping of the first keg by Oberbürgermeister Christian Ude, the mayor of Munich.  After shouting, “O’zapft is!” (“it’s tapped!”), cannon shots ring out, signaling that the beer can officially start to flow.  Oktoberfest in Munich runs through Oct 3rd, and there are also many Octoberfest celebrations here in the USA.

We at Drinkin’ Mate think a perfect way to ring in the Fall season is to roll out a buy-one-get-one-free offer of Drinkin’ Mate, your Feel Better the Next Day helper.  Visit our website and be sure to be prepared for your next Fall Celebration!

Minnesota Based Manufacturer of Effervescent Tablets Reaches New Safety Milestone
Plymouth, MN, August 24, 2011- Amerilab Technologies, a leading producer and developer of effervescent tablets, is proud to celebrate 1,000 days of production without an OSHA recordable safety incident resulting in lost time from work. The celebration will take place at their facility on Wednesday, September 7, 2011.
This milestone, which now spans nearly 3 years, brings the Amerilab Technologies OSHA recordable incident rate down to less than 2.0, well below the industry standard of 4.5. This accomplishment was due in part to the rigorous safety training programs aided by employee involvement.

Drinkin’ Mate presents at Swagapalooza – 4.12.11

April 15, 2011, Filed under: Uncategorized
The Drinkin’ Mate team had a great time show-and-telling our brand at Swagapalooza this last Tuesday, April 12th.  The event took place at the DNA Bar in fabulous San Francisco.  It was an invitation-only event, with over 120 of the most-influential bloggers and tweeters from the San Francisco area in attendance.  They gathered to hear presenters from 11 companies hand-picked by the @Swagapalooza team to show their new and innovative products.  Some of our favorites included the “Invincible Jacket,” a tailored waterproof jacket for men by Saboteur, and Two Degrees nutrition bar company; for every nutrition bar consumers purchase, Two Degrees will donate a nutrition pack to a malnourished child.

Two drink tickets were provided by Swagapalooza, along with a “swag-bag” to take home, which included product samples.  Drinkin’ Mate provided each blogger with a tube of the effervescent version of Drinkin’ Mate along with a sleeve of caplets.  Reviews are still to come, but so far there has been a positive response to our innovative brand.  Many bloggers have already reported via Twitter that they “Felt Better the Next Day” after taking Drinkin’ Mate at the event.  Stay tuned for re-posts of blogs mentioning our product!
